How about billing?
If you configure only 1 server we never contact you about billing. If you configure multiple servers, you get a email at the second of each month with a paypal and a ideal link. if you forgot to pay within 14 days, we suspend your account.
What do I do after I have set up my account?
After your account has been created, login with your credentials. The rest speaks for it self!.
Which operating systems are supported?
We have agents for Windows 2000/2003/2008/xp/vista/7/Linux/Unix/FreeBSD. your system is not listed? contact us!
Where do I find the agents?
The Zabbix agent is delivered along with most linux distributions. You can also download the agents at the dashboard
What kind of internet performance do I need for Sysmon?
Important data are sent every 5 minutes. Less important data once a day.
Which firewall ports do I have to open up?
None. Note, however, that your server must be able to set up a connection to our server at port 10051/tcp. You may verify this using the following telnet command: telnet monitoring.sysmon.nl 10051
How about security?
Sysmon uses outbound inititated packets. This means your server initiates the contact to Sysmon. The other way around is not possible.
What is being monitored?
We monitor (among other things) disk useage, cpu useage, network traffic, memory useage and availability. Check out the slide show for an impression.
How can I tell when my account will expire?
Ten days before your account expires, we'll send you a reminder email with a link to extend your account.
Can I set the treshold at which email alerts will be sent myself?
The power of Sysmon is that we have it all figured out for you. Our extensive experience has enabled us to determine the optimal values for sending messages.
Can I add items and email alerts myself?
Yes you can. In the portal, you may add items and alerts via the configuration menu. This empowers you to monitor your own Windows and Linux services!
Why should I use Sysmon instead of setting up my own Zabbix server?
Sysmon is a service, completely thought out and based on real world best practices. For a small amount, you may use our experience and you do not have to implement and administer your own Zabbix server!
